The Clemson Tigers have been in sizzling form this season and they capped that by winning the league title on Saturday. They had hosted the Virginia Cavaliers who they absolutely demolished. They scored a record 62 points against the visitor’s 17.
The hosts scored two touchdowns during the first quarter of the game while the visitors only got one. Tee Higgins and Justyn Ross scored for the hosts. Hasise Dubois scored the touchdown on the opposite end zone for the Cavaliers.
The hosts got two more touchdowns and a field goal during the second quarter to extend their lead. Tee Higgins and Travis Etienne scored a touchdown each for the Tigers. B.T. Potter scored the field goal from 47 yards out.
The visitors got their second touchdown of the game as the hosts scored two more. Terrel Jana scored for the Cavaliers. Higgins and Dixon each got a touchdown for the Clemson Tigers.
Each of the teams got a field goal during the final quarter. Delaney scored the field goal for the visitors from 35 yards out while Potter scored the one for the hosts from 24 yards out.
