The Miami Dolphins put an end to their losing streak this past weekend when they hosted the New York Jets. The Dolphins won their first game of the season 26-18.
The visitors won the first quarter of the match. This was through Crowder’s touchdown early on into the first quarter. Crowder impressively caught Darnold’s short pass to score the first touchdown of the match.
The hosts overturned the match and took complete control during the second quarter. This was through three touchdowns which ensured that they got on top of the score-board. Williams scored two of the touchdowns and Parker the other one. Fitzpatrick was tackled near the Dolphins’ end zone and the visitors were awarded two safety points. Then, Ficken scored from 52 yards before the quarter ended.
Ficken scored a field goal from 40 yards out early into the quarter. Sanders scored a field goal for the hosts later on from 26 yards out.
The two teams had a low-scoring last quarter. First, the hosts got two safety points after a Harrison fumble. Then, Ficken scored for the visitors from a 29-yard attempt.
