After thrashing the Maryland Terrapins in their last match, the Nebraska Cornhuskers played at home in week 14. They however fell to the Iowa Hawkeyes who they had hosted. The final score was 24-27 in favor of the Iowa team.
The Hawkeyes got two touchdowns in the first quarter of the game to set themselves up for a win. Ihmir and Tyler scored a touchdown each for the Iowa team. Matt Waldoch scored a 41-yard field goal during that first quarter of the game.
Each of the teams got a touchdown during the second quarter of the game. Ihmir scored for the Hawkeyes while Taylor-Britt scored the Cornhuskers’ touchdown. The Hawkeyes also got a 49-yard field goal from Keith Duncan.
The Nebraska team got back into the game and even equalized during the third quarter. This was courtesy of two excellent touchdowns during the early and final minutes of the quarter. Spielman scored the first touchdown while Wyatt scored the other one later on.
Keith Duncan scored a 48-yard field goal in the last quarter of the game. This sealed the win for the Iowa team with a 3-point margin. Stay tuned for highlights from NCAA matches played all over the country.
