The FBC Mortgage Cure bowl was the last college football bowl played out last Sunday. The game featured the Georgia Southern Eagles and the Liberty Flames. The Flames burned the Eagles and won the match 23-16.
Johnny Huntley was first to score during the match in the early minutes. He got a touchdown after receiving a marvelous pass from Stephen Calvert. This allowed the Liberty Flames to set up a lead.
Each of the teams got a touchdown during the second quarter. Wesley Kennedy III scored the first touchdown of the quarter for the Eagles. He had caught the ball after a Tyler Bass kick and proceeded to the Flames’ end zone to ensure the touchdown. Later on, Joshua Mack made a 3-yard run to score a touchdown for the Flames. Then, Alex Probert scored a 46-yard field goal for the Flames.
Antonio scored a touchdown for the Liberty Flames to ensure that they maintained the lead. Then, Tyler Bass scored two field goals from 28 and 30 yards out for the Eagles.
Tyler Bass was last to score. He successfully converted a 35-yard field goal attempt. The Gasparilla bowl will be played out on Monday night. Stay tuned for the game’s highlights.
