One of the other bowls played out on Monday was the Music City bowl. It pitted the Mississippi State Bulldogs against the Cardinals from Louisville. The Cardinals managed to win the game with a score of 38-28.
Tommy Stevens scored the first touchdown of the match a few minutes after the whistle had blown. It was the only scoring activity of the first quarter as numerous other attacks were spoiled. This led to the first quarter ending with the Bulldogs having the lead.
Nick Gibson added to the Bulldogs’ tally with an incredible touchdown a few minutes into the second quarter. He had caught the ball after a Jace Christmann kick. Then, Marshonn Ford got an equally incredible touchdown on the other side of the field for the cardinals. Ryan scored a 31-yard field goal for the Cardinals.
Two touchdowns in the third quarter helped the Cardinals to overturn the game. DeVante and Khane each scored a touchdown.
Each of the teams got two touchdowns in the last quarter of the game. The Cardinals got theirs from Ford and Hawkins to seal their win. On the other end of the field, Guidry and Mitchell were the scorers. Stay tuned for the highlights of the Redbox bowl in the next post.
