The New Mexico Bowl was played out last Sunday. The game saw the San Diego State Aztecs face off against the Central Michigan Chippewas. The thrilling encounter saw the San Diego State team overpower their Central Michigan compatriots. The final score was 48-11.
Jesse Mathews scored first during the game. He got a touchdown for the Aztecs during the opening minutes of the first quarter. Later on, Ryan Tice got a field goal from 33 yards out for the Chippewas.
Matt Araiza scored a field goal for the Aztecs from 48 and 31 yards early into the second quarter. Later on, Jesse Mathews scored a touchdown to ensure that the San Diego State team had a comfortable lead. Their Central Michigan compatriots never managed to score during that quarter.
Three touchdowns during the third quarter set the Aztecs on for a sure win. Jordan, Sullivan, and Chase each got a touchdown. Kobe Lewis scored a touchdown on the other end zone for the Chippewas.
