Illinois Fighting Illini hosted the Wisconsin Badgers for a week 8 NCAA clash. In the big ten battle, the Fighting Illini were able to get the better of their visitors and win the match. However, they only won narrowly with a 24-23 score.
Jake Ferguson was the first scorer of the game. He had received a pass from Jack Coan to continue and get a touchdown for the Badgers. That was the only scoring action during the first quarter of the game.
The hosts got a touchdown in the second quarter while the visitors got two field goals. Donny Navarro scored the touchdown for the Fighting Illini. Collin Larsh scored the field goals on either sides of the touchdown from 24 and 44 yards out.
Jonathan Taylor scored a touchdown for the visiting side. Reggie Corbin later on scored a touchdown on the other end zone for the hosts.
The hosts won the game in the final quarter by getting a touchdown and a field goal while the visitors only got a field goal. For the hosts, Josh scored the touchdown while James scored the 39-yard field goal. For the visitors, Larsh scored the 20-yard field goal. The Badgers will be hosted by the Ohio State Buckeyes next week. Stay tuned for that game’s highlights.
