The Minnesota Golden Gophers hosted the Wisconsin Badgers on week 14 of this season’s NCAA. The Badgers looked to take advantage of their three-game winning streak to secure a big ten spot. They were able to beat the hosts 38-17.
Bateman scored the first touchdown of the game for the Golden Gophers after a pass from Morgan. This was the only scoring action during the first quarter of the game.
The away side got back into the game courtesy of a touchdown and a field goal in the second quarter. Zach Hintze scored the 26-yard field goal while Jonathan got the touchdown.
Quintez and Kendrick each got a touchdown for the visiting team during the third quarter of the game. This enabled the Badgers to open up a wider lead at the top. Michael Lantz scored a 38-yard field goal for the Golden Gophers in the same quarter.
The Badgers got two last touchdowns in the last quarter while the hosts only got one. Jonathan Taylor scored both touchdowns for the Badgers while Tyler Johnson scored the one for the hosts. The Badgers face the Ohio State Buckeyes next week for the second time this season. Stay tuned to get the highlights of that game.
